The Shiba Inu community continues to demonstrate its commitment to reducing the circulating supply of SHIB tokens through consistent weekly burns.
In the latest update, a total of 29,996,006.63 SHIB was permanently removed from circulation during the week ending May 19, 2025. This data was shared by Shibarium Updates, a community-driven account reporting on Shibarium-related developments and on-chain activity.

According to the on-chain data of the week’s burn events, the latest transaction occurred on May 19 at 03:06 UTC, when 14,993,658 SHIB was sent to the burn address. This marked the final and most notable burn of the week, capping off several days of steady token reductions.

This followed an earlier burn on May 16 at 14:29 UTC, which removed an additional 15,023,347 SHIB from circulation, as on-chain data shows. Together, these transactions reflect the community’s ongoing effort to drive scarcity through decentralized initiatives.

As a result of these latest burns, the total cumulative SHIB burned has reached 410,748,569,398 tokens. This rising trend indicates growing participation by SHIB holders, particularly those engaged with Shibarium-powered tools that contribute to the burn mechanism.

Looking ahead, the momentum in burn activity suggests that the community remains focused on reinforcing the token’s deflationary narrative and strengthening its long-term fundamentals. With sustained support, SHIB’s strategic supply reduction continues to be a cornerstone of the ecosystem’s growth.
